Crystal Palace are reportedly in advanced negotiations to sign Atalanta wing-back Timothy Castagne.
Sources in the Italian media indicate the 23 year-old Belgian international has his heart set on a move to the English Premier League despite achieving Champions League qualification with the Orobici.
Palace initially bid €20m for the right-sided wing-back but Atalanta are thought to be holding out for further bonuses to reach a €25m agreement.
Castagne was signed from KRC Genk for €6m in 2017 and has gone on to make 63 appearances for the Lombardy side.
He registered five goals and five assists last season for his club which led to an international breakthrough in the Belgian national team.
Milan and Napoli had also been interested in Castagne, but were not prepared to meet the €25m asking price.
Following Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s departure to Manchester United for £50 million last month, Palace now see Castagne as their ideal replacement at full-back.
